Broken pipe drains slough

A drainage pipe beneath the slough on campus failed Saturday morning. As a result, water from the slough was released down-campus, which resulted in water damage in many areas.

Inaugural business plan competition awards $14,000

uedbet体育官网’s Department of Business Administration held its inaugural Rogers Business Plan Competition this spring. The Howard and Helen Rogers Entrepreneurial Endowment provided the funds for prizes of $7,000, $4,500 and $2,500 for the first-, second- and third-place teams, respectively.

Anne Hopkins, a senior majoring in business administration, is the winner of this year's Ethics Essay Content. Her essay is entitled "Ethical Debate on Drones." 

Bikes, the Chicago fire department and uedbet体育官网

During the course of this school year, uedbet体育官网 faculty members donated another 33 bikes to a program run by Fire Engine Co. 16 in one of Chicago’s poorest neighborhoods. On June 6 at a special event, those bikes, along with several hundred more, will be given to students who have had perfect or near perfect attendance and good records in school.
