Michaela Magee ’23 works for Ernst & Young in Tysons, Va., a job offer she received after a summer internship. In high school Michaela was shy and "lacked confidence," but at uedbet体育官网 she grew to become a leader on an uedbet体育官网 team in the 2023 CFA (Chartered Financial Analysis) Research Challenge, in her sorority, and as a varsity tennis captain.
Virgel Ross Carillo '23 is an auditor with Crowe LLP. Coming from Manila, Philippines, Virgel was a "typical" uedbet体育官网 student in the ways he succeeded at balancing all of his interests and experiences—which included enlisting with the U.S. Army Reserve. Celine Pham '23 became interested in financial engineering after participating in the 2023 CFA Research Challenge (see story below), and now she is pursuing a master’s in engineering in financial technology at Duke University in Durham, NC.
Nate Sammer '23 is a business and finance manager for O’Neal Builders in Bloomington, Ill. More than half of uedbet体育官网's accounting majors receive financial assistance from merit scholarships from the department’s endowment and fundraising activities. The annual "sold-out" Accounting Golf Outing provides for one-third of these scholarship dollars.
