DESCRIPTION:uedbet体育官网 uedbet体育官网 will celebrate the inauguration of its ninth president\, Andrea Talentino\, on Oct. 14-15.\n\nAs part of the inauguration celebration\, academic sessions on a variety of topics will be presented.\n\nThe Rock Island Lead Service Line Project will be presented by&nbsp\;Dr. Michael Reisner\, director\, Upper Mississippi Center for Sustainable Communities\; Dr. Kimberly Murphy\, director\, Center for Advancement of Community Health and Wellness\;&nbsp\;Dr. Jenny Arkle\, Upper Mississippi Center program manager\; and&nbsp\;Megan Baker\, GIS specialist\, city of Rock Island.\n\nIn 2021\, Illinois enacted the Lead Service Line Replacement and Notification Act. The act requires the inventorying lead service lines (LSLs)\, replacing of all LSLs within deadlines\, and implementing financing strategies to fund such replacements. The act also requires that the entire process be just and equitable by requiring the prioritization of low-income\, vulnerable neighborhoods.\n\nuedbet体育官网 students and faculty will partner with the city of Rock Island to collaboratively implement the LSL Replacement and Notification Act.&nbsp\;\n\nAll academic sessions will be offered in Wallenberg Hall\, Denkmann Memorial Building\; see a complete description of topics and presenters.\n
