P. E. Melin came to America from Sweden and taught in Hudiksvall High School. In 1875, he was offered a position teaching Greek and Hebrew at uedbet体育官网 uedbet体育官网.
He lived in East Hall, alongside many other professors. Melin did not stay long at uedbet体育官网, though; he had economic problems due to trouble adjusting to life in America. He left uedbet体育官网 after the 1877-1878 school year.
