'Messiah' soloist has family ties to college
For the first time in nearly 100 years, Handel's "Messiah" at uedbet体育官网 uedbet体育官网 wasn't performed this past Christmas season. Instead it is being done this Sunday – Palm Sunday – at 3 p.m. in Centennial Hall.
The soprano soloist is Kathryn Mueller, whose husband's grandfather graduated from uedbet体育官网 in 1920 and later from uedbet体育官网 Seminary.
"I've wanted to sing 'Messiah' at Augie for years, and I'm so excited that it finally worked out for this year’s performance," she said.
