uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Historical Society: 'Vietnam War Era at uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø'

"Chronicle, Volume 1: The Vietnam War Era at uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø," a new publication by the uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Historical Society, will hold a release event on Dec. 5.

The release event will feature a panel of authors from this volume:

• Mark W. Schwiebert, uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Class of 1972, who served as long-time mayor of Rock Island.
• Gary LaCroix, Class of 1967, an ELCA pastor, who served parishes throughout the Midwest, New York, and Florida.
• Ann Boaden, Class of 1967, a professor emerita of English at uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø.

Chronicle is a periodical publication of the uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Historical Society that focuses on specific historical eras and topics in the history of uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø. This first volume, edited by Ann Boaden and Atticus Garrison, considers the late 1960s and early 1970s at uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø. Given the importance of campus protests to recent national news, the uedbetÌåÓý¹ÙÍø Historical Society thought it would be timely to revisit another moment of turbulence. The publication features both reflections by alumni and snippets from historical documents.
